Bologna (Italy), holder of a diploma in Saxophone, holder of a diploma in
Jazz Music, holder of a diploma CEE "Expert of Music" in 1988. He studied

leading of Ettore Ballotta, Emilio Ghezzi, Walter Proni and Tomaso Lama.
Lots of collaborations with Giorgio Gaslini, Enrico Pierannunzi, Franco
Cerri, Piero Bassini, Gianni Bedori, Dusko Gojkovich, Sante Palumbo, Paolo
Damiani, Rudy Migliardi brought him to have experience with Paolo Conte
(famous italian singer). Even in classical field the collaborations
were lots: Orchestra Villa Pamphili (Genova), Philarmonic Orchestra "Renzo
Martini" (Parma), Philarmonic Orchestra (Piacenza), Hallo Mr. Sax Ensemble
(12 sax). He wrote, as a composer, a lot of arrangements for "Teatro
Due" Orchestra (Parma), music for saxophone, for brass and for piano and
woodwinds published by College Music
(Forlì), Bèrben (Ancona), Pizzicato (Udine). Some of these
compositions are now completing "Duke Ellington Trio" repertory. We would
like to remember that he's the leader of this group which as been the best
new italian group of jazz in 1988. After this we recorded a Lp titled
"Blues" containing nine original compositions for trio and sax solo.
"Studio

"Blues" and published by College Music) won ex-aequo the composition

strings, horns and rhythm section. Another jazz group, in dixieland
style, is the "Soft Dixieland Band" with six musicians (3 horns and rhythm
section). We have another very interesting trio named "The Inspirators
trio" with deutch soprano singer Gabriele Paetzer and USA vocalist/pianist
Randall Taylor. This group play music from Gospel and Spiritual. He
play also lead alto saxophone in the "Jazz Art Orchestra", a big band wich
high level performances. His intense experience as teacher and divulger
leaded him to: - from 1988 to 1994 teach in a seminar of jazz history
at Musicology Institute of University of Parma; - collaborate with the
editing "The Saxophone", quarterly review of Italian Saxophonist
Association, writing jazz items and helping them to electronic elaboration
